Trip Style

Our Great Britain 2020 route is a fast-paced tour of some of the UK’s most awe-inspiring destinations. Experience authentic European backpacking, travelling with a small group of likeminded people, staying in hostels and travelling on public transport with an experienced guide.

With unmissable included activities and an exciting library of optional excursions as well as plenty of opportunities for self-guided exploring, this is the ultimate way to experience all that this amazing region has to offer.

Travelling with you throughout, your tour leader will ensure your trip goes smoothly; making sure you arrive in each destination safely. They’ll also co-ordinate essential and optional activities such as walking tours and pub crawls- not to mention making sure you’ve got a cold beer waiting for you upon arrival in each hostel.

London (2 Nights)

Britain’s capital city may be huge, but central London is surprisingly walkable, from the quirky pop-up stalls of the south bank to the glitz of the West End and out to Hyde Park. The culturally diverse nature of the city makes it one of the most buzzing and cosmopolitan in the world.

After you arrive, you’ll meet your tour leader and the rest of the group at the hostel bar and enjoy a welcome drink on us before heading over to the Shard tower to enjoy one of the best views of London’s skyline.                                  

Kick-off your trip with a full day of sightseeing in the capital. Walk along the River Thames, see the London Eye and get your picture taken in front of Big Ben. Get one of the world-famous red double-decker buses and follow your group to Buckingham Palace, where you can watch the changing of the guards. You’ll then have some free time in the afternoon to visit Notting Hill and Portobello market, stroll through Camden or head out for some high-street shopping on Oxford street. 

After 2 nights in the English capital, prepare yourself for an action-packed day trip around Wales- a tiny country often forgotten about by your average tourist!

It’s time to say goodbye to London and head towards Wales! One of Great Britain’s most overlooked destinations, this tiny country is home to some of the British Isle’s most impressive scenery, unique culture and incredible cuisine. It was recently voted in the top 10 most beautiful countries on earth. 

In Conwy, you will find one of the oldest and best-preserved castles in Great Britain. Pictures don’t do justice to the spectacular views of the this Unesco World Heritage site, you simply have to see it for yourself! Around lunchtime, you’ll stop for traditional fish and chips- one of Britain’s most loved meals.

Welcome to Llandudno! Once one of the UK’s most vibrant and popular holiday destinations, this quaint seaside destination is an authentic taste of traditional British holidaymaking.

Start your time here with a walk down the famous Llandudno pier, check out the penny arcades and buy a traditional stick of rock candy before exploring the seafront. Want to maximise your Welsh experience? Take an optional ride on the Great Orme cable car for incredible coastal views.

Liverpool (2 Nights)

While traditionally serving as an industrial centre and major port city, Liverpool has managed to build enormous character over the past century, subsequently becoming a tourist haven of the north. Home town of the biggest band in the world the Beatles, Liverpool has solidified itself as a Mecca for music fans. Also boasting multiple museums and galleries, a UNESCO World Heritage City Centre and a fanatical football culture, Liverpool has something to offer everyone.

After arriving into the city from Llandudno and checking into your hostel, why not head out and grab a few drinks in the bustling Concert Square. The next morning take some free time to explore the city before the group do the Blitz to the Beatles walking tour, where you will learn all about Liverpool’s rich culture, which was largely shaped by the rise of the Beatles. You’ll walk the streets and alleyways that have inspired generations of musicians and artists, while also learning about the city’s history from WWII to the present day.

After your tour, you will have some time to explore. In the area of the Baltic Triangle, you can find old warehouses and factories that are nowadays home to trendy bars, independent shops and creative outlets.

Manchester (1 Night)

During the 19th century, Manchester was at the forefront of the industrial revolution, specializing predominately in textiles. It has since carried this reputation with it. Now, in the 21st century, development is in full force with art galleries, restaurants and trendy bars continuing to blossom. Throw into the mix the multiple museums, a legendary music scene and proud sporting culture and what you get is fun and energetic English city.

After arriving at your hostel, grab a welcome drink and take off with your group to Junkyard Golf- this funky mini golf arena is filled with neon lights, crazy statues and delicious cocktails.  Then, why not choose from one of our fantastic optional activities for the city? Football fans can walk around the world-famous Old Trafford or Etihad Stadiums, home to Manchester United and Manchester City respectively.

Before reaching your next hostel, you’ll spend the morning in York- one of England’s oldest cities. This is a must-see for anybody hoping to lap up some old-British culture. Walk the city walls, see the birthplace of Guy Fawkes (The anarchist who famously tried to destroy the houses of parliament), and follow the winding cobbled streets to the world-famous York Cathedral.

Want to get the most out of your time in York? Why not stop for a traditional afternoon tea at one of the city’s famous tea houses and fill yourself up with naughty-but-nice delights such as scones, cakes and cream tea.

Edinburgh (2 Nights)

Home to the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh is proud to call itself Scotland’s capital city. Immerse yourself in its dramatic castles, beautiful views, traditional pubs and windy streets. Take the hike up to Arthur’s Seat for the best views of the city, and head to Sandy Bell’s in the evening for traditional brews and folk music.

Fans of the Harry Potter series will get the chance to dive into the magical world of witches and wizards, as the city is full of filming locations and magical spots author J.K. Rowling drew inspiration from. Visit Tom Riddle’s grave and walk down Diagon Alley, or see where Rowling came to write at the Elephant House cafe.

No matter what you’re into, Edinburgh is sure to have something for you. Join your group in walking the castle walls, taking in jaw-dropping views of the entire city before heading out on an included Ghost tour of the old Edinburgh city, deep beneath the modern version we see today. Hear the stories of the people who used to live there, and the spirits they left behind, before heading out for a few drinks to round off your time in this incredible city. Then, say goodbye to the rest of your group before you part ways the next day.

What makes your Euroventure Group Tours different?
Great question! It's all about the travel style. We are a small company run by enthusiastic and experienced travellers - we think this is reflected in our tours. You'll travel in small groups of between 4 and 20, with a Euroventure leader. Your tour leader will be with you throughout, making sure you get on the right trains/busses, get to your hostels safely and making sure everyone's having an awesome time. You'll travel by public transport, either by coach or train, rather than using private transfers. We run all our tours this way - it's better for the environment and a more authentic experience for you. The welcome drinks and included activities in each place bring the group together, but you also have plenty of time to do your own thing too. Different groups have different dynamics, but we often go sightseeing, for dinner and on nights out together.
What sort of people book on to the Europe Group Tours?
People like you who love to travel! From first time travellers to people who have travelled extensively before (including many of our past customers). We have a higher proportion of females than males and more single travellers than couples or groups. But as long as you want to travel and like the social aspect of being with other people then you will fit in just fine! Our staff are an inclusive and friendly bunch of people, and your tour leader will do their best to help the group get to know each other at the start of the tour.
How do I pay for a group tour?
You can book and pay online from the package page with either a £50 deposit per person or in full. We will then send you a booking summary confirming your booking. If you have not paid in full your booking summary will contain a link for you to pay the remainder balance (at least 90 days before departure). Alternatively you can call or email us to secure your place on the trip, and pay over the phone, via online bank transfer or over the counter at your bank.
