Day 1 – Manila
Welcome to the Philippines! Upon your arrival at Manila airport, your group leader will be ready and waiting to take you back to our hotel. Today is about relaxing and settling in after that long flight, so hit the streets for some shopping or just head out to explore some of the local sites. We have a quick orientation talk then head out for a welcome dinner and drinks with the rest of the group.
Day 2-5 – El Nido, Palawan Islands
Bellies full, we board our first flight of the tour and make our way to one of the best islands in the world, Palawan. As soon as we land we will travel by private bus to El Nido, which will take around 5 hours – trust us, it’s worth it! Once checked in, we’ll head out for a feed and a few beverages as a group and check out some of the coolest beach bars in El Nido.
El Nido is home for the day and this coastal settlement boasts clear waters, jungle, steep limestone cliffs and stunning caves and we’ll head north for our first dip in the ocean!
The Philippines is famed for its many beautiful islands and today we’ll island hop! We’ll spend the day on our local boat whilst stopping off at some truly stunning beaches, as well as the ‘small and big lagoons’ which are some of the most picturesque places on the planet!
Our final day in El Nido is about catching your breath and working on your tan on a stunning, white sandy beach decorated with coconut trees. If sunning yourself isn’t your thing, you can head out and get a massage, hit the shops for some retail therapy, or simply explore all of what El Nido has to offer.
Day 6-8 – Moalboal, Cebu
R&R over, it’s time to get on the move again as we board another quick one-hour flight to Cebu. From Cebu, it’s a four-hour drive to Moalboal, which is our home for the next three nights.
Rested and refreshed from a good night’s sleep, we head deep into the hills of Cebu to visit some of the Philippines’ most beautiful waterfalls. Cool down in the crystal clear waters of Kasawan falls. We jump in and cool off in these stunning lagoons and get some pictures that will make your friends back home seriously jealous.
On our final day in Cebu, we head out for a truly unforgettable experience – we jump in the water to swim with the huge (but very friendly) whale sharks. Bring your underwater camera, as trust us you will want to remember this forever. After we dry off, it’s back on the bus to Moalboal where we will snorkel with thousands of sardines on their “sardine run” – this will take your breath away!
Day 9-12 – Boracay
Arriving by evening in Boracay, we will all enjoy dinner together before heading out to experience Boracay’s crazy beachfront for a night of partying and good times! You can’t beat a party on the beach!
Today is for full-on beach vibes, so grab yourself a beer or a fancy cocktail, lounge about or even play some beach games in the sun for a while, as we all enjoy this stunning setting, which has been listed as one of the worlds best beaches!
On Day 11, we head out on our very own local sailing boat to explore around the beautiful island of Boracay. We get the chance to discover some hidden beaches and snorkel in the blue quartz waters while enjoying one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. In the evening, we enjoy our farewell meal and party, which is the perfect way to end an unforgettable tour!
It’s time to say goodbye and end our unforgettable 12-day trip! After check out, your group leader will sit down with you and help plan any onward travel.

Made something that can seem quite daunting extremely easy

All the staff were really helpful. You could email before the trip and ask any questions. A WhatsApp group was set up a couple of weeks before so you got to message other people who were going on the trip as well as your tour leader. The Tour itself was fantastic, you get to see so much and because you’re with a tour leader they have great suggestions about things to go and see and do. The tour is laid back in the sense that you can opt out of things like a guided tour if you don’t feel like going on that day. If you’ve never stayed in a hostel before they are nothing to worry about. They are all of a good standard and you’ll always be with a few people at least who are on the tour.

I recently went on the Iron Curtain tour and it was seriously the best week I've had. Each city on the tour is a must for anyone thinking about traveling with amazing sights to see, and beer to drink! The hostels which we stayed were clean, tidy and had all the facilities a traveler needs, though with it being the middle of summer the rooms could get quite stuffy at night. Every hostel was very conveniently located quite close to the cities centre, often within walking distance with the furthest journey being only a simple tram ride away. Transitions between cities/countries went very smoothly and stress-free with our amazing tour leader (Tolly) guiding us to where we needed to be next in plenty of time. Tolly himself was a great character and never failed to make the group laugh. He had good local knowledge and knew some of the best places to visit, eat and drink. If you're either travelling on your own (as I did) or with a friend, I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting a great week away, to make new friends and good memories.

This summer I had the best trip with Euroventure! I went on the iron curtain trip for a week and couldn’t have asked for a greater time! My tour leader Tolly was so helpful and gave me lots of good advice on the best places to go in each city! The minute I got home I started looking at their other trips, highly recommend Euroventure for any trip.
