Your tour starts in Helsinki- the happiest city in the world! Meet your Euroventure Group Tour leader as well as the rest of your group before setting sail for St. Petersburg- the Venice of the North!

Why start in Helsinki? Well, usually entering Russia requires a VISA which has to be acquired before departure. This process can be incredibly lengthy and, in most cases, requires a trip to the embassy to process paperwork. However, entering from Helsinki or Tallinn is possible without when travelling by Ferry to St. Petersburg- meaning you can take in this magical city with less stress!

Take some time to get to know your group whilst wandering the city, checking out hipster coffee shops, bustling markets and breathtaking art installations before you head for your night ferry to Russia.

St. Petersburg (2 Nights)

Your stay in Russia begins with a guided tour of the city, giving you the perfect opportunity to marvel at classic Russian architecture. You’ll also have the chance to visit the Mikhailovsky Castle, the Saviour on the Spilled Blood and the Summer Gardens before stopping off for borscht at Dachniki- a traditional Russian restaurant. Those who want to fully immerse themselves in the Russian experience then have the option of two further fantastic experiences: Sample local vodkas and beers on the St. Petersburg City Pub Crawl or take a night-time boat trip around the city to wonder at the raising of the Drawbridges.

You’ll start the next day with some free time to explore. Visit Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, Winter Palace, The Hermitage, Marble Palace and end the afternoon at the stunning Field of Mars Park. Lovers of ballet will already know that St. Petersburg is home to some of the world’s most incredible displays.

On your final morning in the city, take some free time to chill in Yusupov Gardens, enjoy the flora of the garden and have lunch in the surrounding restaurants. Then, check-in for your night ferry to the first of the Baltic states- Estonia!

Tallinn (1 Night)

Welcome to Tallinn! A fairytale town of red-bricked rooftops, historic Estonian culture and incredible food.

After dropping your bags at the hostel your group will embark on your first incredible included activity for the city- the TV Tower. Enjoy stunning aerial views of the country’s coastline and, if you’re feeling brave, get an optional ticket to do a tethered skywalk around the tower’s roof. Arrive back in the city to some free time- either explore the Stroll around the Old Town, seeing Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, the view from Toompea Hill, and Kadriorg Palace or take an optional tour of the city’s KGB Prison Cells

In the evening, wander around the artistic Telliskivi Creative City area and line your stomach before the optional Tallinn pub crawl.

Riga (1 Night)

Riga is a vibrant cosmopolitan city- with twisting gothic spires, cobbled streets and a vibrant youth culture, this is a city which has something for everyone.

Kick off your tour with a trip to the House of the Blackheads, admire the opulence and decadence of the inner building before some free time to explore the city. Why not have lunch and chill at Zviedru Varti – a local Latvian restaurant, before wandering the Old Town and visiting Vermanes Garden, the oldest public garden in the city of Riga. Hoping to sample some local beers or explore beyond the Old Town? Book on to the optional Riga Explorer or Beer Bike tour before spending the evening chilling in the hostel bar.

It’s then on to your final destination of the tour- the fabulous Vilnius!

Vilnius City View

Vilnius (1 Night)

After arriving in the Lithuanian capital, drop your bags and head straight out to make the most of your last stop. To start, head to the Museum of Illusions, wander the upside-down rooms, marvel at the light shows and get lost in the hall of mirrors before making your way out for some free time. We recommend walking the city centre on foot to see landmarks such as Vilnius Cathedral, the Gate of Dawn, St. Anne’s Church, and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

In the evening, you will head for an included farewell dinner at Berneliu Uzeiga, a traditional Lithuanian restaurant, before heading out for a few drinks around the old town with your group. Complete your last overnight hostel stay before saying goodbye to your travel buddies the next day- at least for now!

Questions & Answers

Don't see the answer you're looking for?

What makes your Euroventure Group Tours different?
Great question! It's all about the travel style. We are a small company run by enthusiastic and experienced travellers - we think this is reflected in our tours. You'll travel in small groups of between 4 and 20, with a Euroventure leader. Your tour leader will be with you throughout, making sure you get on the right trains/busses, get to your hostels safely and making sure everyone's having an awesome time. You'll travel by public transport, either by coach or train, rather than using private transfers. We run all our tours this way - it's better for the environment and a more authentic experience for you. The welcome drinks and included activities in each place bring the group together, but you also have plenty of time to do your own thing too. Different groups have different dynamics, but we often go sightseeing, for dinner and on nights out together.
What sort of people book on to the Europe Group Tours?
People like you who love to travel! From first time travellers to people who have travelled extensively before (including many of our past customers). We have a higher proportion of females than males and more single travellers than couples or groups. But as long as you want to travel and like the social aspect of being with other people then you will fit in just fine! Our staff are an inclusive and friendly bunch of people, and your tour leader will do their best to help the group get to know each other at the start of the tour.
How do I pay for a group tour?
You can book and pay online from the package page with either a £50 deposit per person or in full. We will then send you a booking summary confirming your booking. If you have not paid in full your booking summary will contain a link for you to pay the remainder balance (at least 90 days before departure). Alternatively you can call or email us to secure your place on the trip, and pay over the phone, via online bank transfer or over the counter at your bank.
