Main Districts


The urban district of Stadtmitte is home to a lot of the city’s retail and offices.

Old Town

The town was largely destroyed by world war 2, however it has since been restored. The old town has a great atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and bars.


Home to many of Dusseldorfs museums, galleries and artists, the small district is just south of the old town.

Main Attractions


Dusseldorf’s famous shopping street, with a mix of high end boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and cafes.

The Embankment Promenade

Lined with restaurants and shops the promenade is a great way to admire Dusseldorf’s riverside.


The telecommunications tower is the tallest building in the city; providing amazing views of Dusseldorf.

Best Culture Spots

  • The Museum of Art: The museum hosts a collection of fine art, sculptures and drawings from present day to the 3rd century BC.
  • Schloss Benrath: A baroque palace with stunning interior and exterior. The Palace’s gardens are also spectacular.
  • Kaiserswerth: One of Dusseldorfs oldest neighbourhoods with plenty of Baroque buildings to admire.
