Main Districts

Piazza Dei Miracoli

This Piazza translates to the ‘Square of Miracles’ and is home to many of the city’s most beautiful attractions including; the Baptistery and Sacred Burial Ground, the Cathedral of Pisa and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele

This has become a busy square in Pisa due to its proximity to the train station. In the square, you’ll find plenty of bars to relax in or grab a quick beer before you head to Pisa’s quirky mural called ‘Tuttomondo’. This district is also a shopping paradise and if you walk towards the river, you’ll eventually come across a beautiful church with a pretty Tuscan backdrop.

Best Places To Go Out

Try to avoid the restaurants and cafes near the Leaning Tower of Pisa as the prices are super high!! Walk towards the central area for a spot of lunch or dinner. In summer, the river banks are a fab spot for a coffee or something stronger as there are several bars in the area. All the nightlife is found in Piazza Garibaldi & Piazza delle Vettovaglie.
