Trip Description

Take a quick getaway to Western Europe’s big ones!

If you’re travelling from the UK, make things easier on yourself and start your trip from your local coach or train station before heading to London on a whistlestop train adventure. Your first stop is Paris; you’ll get to wake up to phenomenal views of The City of Lights! Stroll around Parisian Montmartre with its Bohemian artist community and pretty red-canopied cafes. Go classic with the iconic sights of the Louvre, Notre Dame and, of course, the Eiffel Tower! If you’ve seen it all before, head to the Pompidou Centre for your modern art fix, or sip on cocktails around Quai de Jemmapes. We promise that your bank account won’t suffer too much!

Next, you’ll head over to the coastal sunshine city of San Sebastian, a favourite hotspot amongst the international surfing crowd with its own strong cultural identity. With a world-renowned sandy beach, its own Christ the Redeemer statue, and plenty of Basque tapas treats to go around, there was no way we could leave this destinaton out of the route!

Round your trip off in Portugal’s colourful capital, Lisbon, with its trendy yet old-worldly vibe. It won’t be long before you relax into the city’s slower pace, catching waves with the friendly laid-back locals in this surfers’ haven. Don’t sit back just yet, though! There are imposing castles, towers and monasteries to make your way around. When night falls, check out its quirky bars and clubs to get a real feel for what this city is all about!

Did the 3 week Eastern Europe tour and it was amazing! Couldn't recommend Euroventure enough! Took all the hassle out of travelling, particularly for someone as unorganised as I am! All the hostels were clean, comfortable and friendly. Our tour guide Dave was great too! Knew all the good places to go to, even gave us a free walking tour in Prague. Couldn't do enough for us. Thanks everyone involved!

We had a wonderful experience working with Amy. She helped us work out so many details and made sure we were taken care off after complications with our booking. We are so grateful for her help and so excited for our trip

I did the one week iron curtain tour with Davo and it was the best week of my life. The way euroventure took care of everything took the stress out of solo travelling. Davos knowledge of every country we went to was good as were the activities included and also the pub crawls. It’s a good trip for a week plus you meet some amazing people. Would recommend, cheers Davo and euroventure

Just recently got back from the Iron Curtain tour and already have post tour blues! I enjoyed the trip immensely, met some fab people and felt like I laughed the whole week. I liked using euroventure as having everything planned out in advance took all the stress away compared to if I planned it myself. Big shout out to our tour leader David who was great to hang out with. He made the transitions between places and cities very easy and stress free. His sarcastic wit and humour made my week. He also had great knowledge on the sights we visited. The itinerary was jam packed with activities to do. Would highly recommend using Euroventure, will definitely be using them again!

Questions & Answers

Don't see the answer you're looking for?

Question:
What do I get when I book a package?
Answer:
You get all train travel and accommodation included in the price. That is, all train travel between the first city and last city on the trip and accommodation in the best hostels in each city, or in  hotels if you choose this option. For loop trips you also get return train and Eurostar travel from anywhere in the UK to the continent and back, but flights are not included in any of our packages because we do not have airline partnerships. You get breakfast in some hostels too, and can add this as an extra in hotels. You'll also get a detailed itinerary telling you exactly what trains to get and directions to the hostels. So all that's left for you to purchase is flights (if required), travel insurance and spending money.
Question:
Are transfers to Europe included?
Answer:
Our packages do not include flights to the start and from the end of the trip. We have plenty of trips however that do include Eurostar trains from London, and with most of these you are able to start from any mainland UK train station at no extra cost, as well as return there at the end of your trip. We just need to take into account the amount of time it takes you to travel from your UK home station to London to catch the Eurostar to Paris or Brussels, and your onward connections if necessary.
Question:
What are the hotels like?
Answer:
If you choose to stay in hotels, you'll have two options to suit your budget and comfort level. You can choose to stay in 2-3* accommodation which will include hotel chains such as Ibis Styles and Mercure. We might also book carefully selected independent hotels of the same star rating where that’s the best option. If you prefer a little bit more luxury, you can select our 4*+ option. In this case, we'll use hotel chain such as Sofitel, Novotel and MGallery, as well as selected independent hotels. Just like with hostels, all the hotels we choose are centrally located and well connected by public transport, so you’ll never end up far from the action. Our hotel prices are all room-only as standard. If you would like to add breakfast to your booking, you can do this during the booking process. Many of our hotels are also able to assist you with planning day time activities and local information - just ask at reception!
