Our Central Europe route is a fast-paced tour of Europe’s most popular destinations. Experience authentic European backpacking, travelling with a small group of likeminded people, staying in hostels and travelling on public transport with an experienced guide.
You’ll have between one and three nights in each city, making this the ultimate way to experience lots of famous European landmarks in a short amount of time. With unmissable included activities and an exciting library of optional excursions as well as plenty of opportunities for self-guided exploring, this is the ultimate way to experience all that Central Europe has to offer.

You’ll have one to three nights in each location, with plenty of time to explore historic sights, culture, nightlife and more. There’ll be unmissable activities which are included in your price – but there will also be other optional activities on offer. We’ve also included a few free days throughout your trip, so that you can chill out and do whatever you fancy.
Throughout the trip we’ll hang out as a group at least once in each city for drinks – you’ll be travelling with other likeminded travellers, as well as your dedicated tour leader.
Meet your tour leader and the rest of your group near St Pancras International Train Station on the first morning to start your tour! If you need to stay a night in London before your tour starts then you can add this at check-out.
Train to Amsterdam – 6 hours
One of Europe’s most popular city destinations, Amsterdam is truly a wonder for all five senses. There’s a surprise around every corner and you never know what you might discover.
Situated in the province of North Holland, this city is not only the political capital of the country, but the cultural one too. It truly lives up to this reputation! Ride around the city’s world-famous canals by bike, have your mind blown by the fascinating history museums, and sample a pint of Heineken in the brewery where it was first created.

Train to Berlin – 6 hours
Drop your stuff at the hostel on arrival and have a wander out on your first night to get aquainted with the capital of cool. The next morning, we’ll head to a classic Berlin landmark – the Berlin TV Tower (included) to cast your eye over all that surround the German captial. The rest of the day you’ve got free time – the perfect opportunity to explore Europe’s coolest city and marvel at the contrast between old and new – take a bike or walking tour, head out to the Brandenburg Gate or book yourself tickets to the Reichstag dome!
Day 3 in Berlin is a chilled one – take the morning free to check out more museums and sights if you fancy, or head to the Badeschiff for an afternoon of poolside chilling, paddle boarding, street food and beers.

Train to Prague – 5 hours
Take the train east to the capital of the Czech Republic for 2 nights. Prague’s centre is crammed full of history and architecture; you’ll feel like you’re walking around a fairytale city. Make sure you don’t miss out on Prague’s famous Pilsner – not to mention the traditional chimney cakes?
Once you’ve fallen in love with the city and think you’ve seen all there is to offer, we’ll head underground for a medival show, a 5-course meal and unlimited drinks – all whilst watching sword fights, belly dancers. May contain fire and snakes – obviously.

Train to Budapest – 5 hours
A magnificent Eastern European city to explore – Budapest is really a spectacle by day and night. Think rich homemade foods, craft beers, lit-up buildings and river tours… there is no end to the things you can do in the crown jewel of the Danube.
Check out the ruin bars hidden around the Pest side of the city- These dilapidated buildings have found new life as independent restaurants bars and markets, serving up some of the best food and drinks in the city!

Train to Vienna – 3 hours
Then make the short train journey to Vienna for a one night stay. The capital of the Habsburg Empire is overflowing with awe-inspiring palaces to wonder around. Shake things up and instead of walking everywhere soak up the culture from the water with an afternoon of paddleboarding by the Danube (included). If that doesn’t capture your imagination, rest assured that Vienna has some of Europe’s best bars and nightclubs to make the most of.
Spend your second day exploring the Naschmarkt for some artsy bargains, or treat yourself to afternoon tea in one of Vienna’s civilised cafes. Around midday, we’ll head towards the station and start the journey to Italia!

Train to Venice – 7 hours
You’ll arrive in Venice in the early-evening to wander around and take note of everything you might want to do on your full-day here tomorrow. You may wish to spend the whole day exploring the intricate network of canals that form the veins of the city.
Don’t spend too much time relaxing by the canals though, as there’s plenty to see and do on the 127 islands that form this medieval city.
Tick off the ultimate Venetian bucket list item – the Gondola ride! (included). After a Venetian lunch or a quick slice of pizza, you have a free afternoon/evening to explore so why not take a trip up to Basilica San Marco and enjoy the glorious views, before we end the trip with a few drinks.
Make the most of your night – in the morning you’ll say farewell to your new friends (for the time being at least!), but if you’d like to have some extra time to explore you can include a night of post-trip accommodation before heading home the following day.
