Carry on to Prague for gorgeous Gothic scenery by day, and long, boozy nights in secret underground bars by night. Next, head south to classical Vienna, the music capital of the continent.

Next, it’s on to Italy. Travel overnight in a comfortable couchette (or upgrade to a private cabin at check out) to make the most of your time, and arrive bright and early in beautiful Rome, prepare to be spoilt for choice when it comes to sight-seeing in one of the world’s most photogenic cities. The Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and Castel Sant’Angelo, are all must-sees, obviously! Be sure to tick off the smallest country in the world, the Vatican City, and spend two days of your European backpacking adventure exploring the historic streets, piazzas and palaces of Old Rome.

Next it’s short journey north to Venice. Ride gondolas down the canals and get lost in its picturesque labyrinth of quaint backstreets. Take a day trip to the stunning islands of Murano and Burano to admire the beautiful coloured houses and get all those shots for your Instagram! Lastly, travel from Venice via Milan on a scenic journey to Paris and settle in with a café au lait and croissants. Visit The Louvre, head up the Eiffel Tower or just enjoy wandering around the city of love!
